Osteopathy

Pregnancy causes great postural changes which can put a lot of strain on the musculoskeletal system of the body. This varies between individuals and no two people will change in the same way with pregnancy. Problems are common in the last trimester and often include problems with the pelvic joints and pubic symphsis(pubic bone) as the ligaments soften and prepare for the birthing process.

The Oaks Clinic offers an osteopathy clinic run by Ms Nicola Kay.

Nicola graduated from the British School of Osteopathy and is registered with the General Osteopathic Council. She is also a member of ther British Osteopathic Association.

Her approach is mainly a structural style of osteopathy to treat a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems. She has a special interest in osteopathy during pregnancy. Nicola has worked with Dr Stephen Sandler who founded and runs the expectant mothers clinic at the British School of Osteopathy. Nicola continues to improve her knowledge and skills with regular post graduate courses and lectures.
